Join us in our upstairs space for a seedling workshop where you will learn the basics on getting your seedlings started for the 2024 growing season. This workshop is aimed at small scale gardeners (think balcony gardeners, community garden plots, or small backyard spaces). You'll take home 20 different starter containers.
This workshop is facilitated by Aliyah Fraser who started Lucky Bug Farm in 2021. Aliyah imagines a food system where more people have access to ecologically grown food, where there is less waste and where there's a better understanding of the labour it takes to get food from the farm to the table.
What it includes:
- Seeds, potting soil, containers
- Guided in-person instruction on seeding 20 different containers (your choice of tomatoes, peppers, greens, herbs and flowers).
- Handout on taking care of seedlings and transplanting outdoors
