Claire from Little Fields Farm will be taking over the front of our store on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm with her Saturday CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program, late June to early November. Little Fields Farm is in Bright, Ontario. Using organic methods, Claire grows veggies, pastured chicken, turkey, pork and eggs.

Estimated Start Dates:

  • Saturday, June 20 (for full shares)
  • Saturday, June 27 (for half shares)

EXAMPLE SHARES:

JUNE: 1 bunch of basil, 1 cabbage, 1 qt sweet peas, 1 head of lettuce, 1 bunch of beets, 1 bunch of green onions, 1/2 lb of baby spinach, 1 bunch of radishes, 1 bunch of herbs (choice between thyme, oregano, summer savoury, mint or chives)

JULY: 1 bunch of cilantro, 1/2 lb of lettuce mix, 1 bunch of kale, 2 cucumbers, 2 zucchini, 2 eggplants, 1 bunch of carrots, 1 lb green beans, 1 bunch of green onions

AUGUST: 1 qt edamame, 3 yellow onions, 1 qt potatoes, 1 qt sweet peppers, 1 qt tomatoes, 2 eggplants, 2 zucchini, 2 delicata squash, 1/2 lb lettuce mix

SEPTEMBER: 1 fennel bulb, 1 bunch of chard, 1 spaghetti squash, 2 zucchini, 1 bunch of leeks, 1/2 lb arugula, 2 lbs sweet potatoes, 1 cabbage, 1 qt tomatoes

OCTOBER: 1 pie pumpkin, 2 celery roots, 1 qt turnips, 1 bunch radishes, 1/2 lb spinach, 1 qt potatoes, 1 qt carrots, 1 qt beets, 3 red onions

NOVEMBER: 2 acorn squash, 1 qt red potatoes, 1 bunch kale, 1 qt turnips, 1 bunch parsnips, 1 qt beets, 1 bunch of leeks, 1 nappa cabbage
