The cheeky charmer of this summer release, this is a sprightly red wine that teases with a bouquet of spring flowers and appetizing spices. It flutters on your palate with a bouncy spring in its step and leaves your tastebuds energized and salivating for another sip. A smooth, rock-and-rolling red that carries freshness and crunchy red fruit in equal amounts, cajoling you along for a ride, riddled with the pleasures of summer.

2021 Primesautier is a blend of 43% Gamay from Redfoot Vineyard, 30% Pinot Noir from 19th Str. Vineyard and 27% Cabernet Sauvignon from Redfoot vineyard. The fruit was hand-harvested respectively on September 30th (GAM), September 21st (PN) and November 3rd (CS) 2021 and hand- sorted. The PN and the CS were processed as 100% destemmed fruit, fermented in large oak vessels and then aged in stainless steel tanks. The Gamay was fermented as 100% whole-cluster in large concrete vessels and aged in an old oak foudre. The wines aged separately for 6 months before being blended and returned for further 2 month aging in concrete and stainless steel.
2021 Primesautier was bottled unfiltered and un-fined on May 12th, 2022.
