Legacy Greens grocery store is located in downtown Kitchener, at 18 Ontario Street North. We specialize in fresh produce, local foods, eggs, dairy, healthy grab-and-go snacks, made-from-scratch meals, and food-focused gifts. We believe everything is better when fresh — that’s why we roll with the seasons. In the winter we’ll be simmering soups, and in the summer we’ll have our freezers stocked with Four All ice cream and The Pop Stand popsicles! We strive to offer unique, inspiring flavours to the downtown Kitchener community.
WEEKLY PRODUCE BOXES:
Our produce boxes are your subscription to the very best each season has to offer. Each seasonal box runs for six weeks, with weekly pick-up at our store. See our Produce Box Page to check when our next subscription becomes available. Sign up in advance, as our produce box subscriptions usually sell out!
We proudly produce our own line of mulled wine kits and candles, and we’re honoured to partner with local companies like Hugo & Nate Caramels, Buck Naked Soaps, and Ambrosia Chocolates to offer a curated selection of food-focused gifts. Visit our Gift Baskets Page to order online, or, stop by the shop and we’ll be happy to help you assemble the perfect gift.
We’re passionate about fresh produce and healthy, locally-produced foods, and it shows in our awesome fruit, vegetable, and cheese and nut trays. Whether you’re hosting a dinner, attending a potluck, or holding a meeting, we can help make your next event a success. Visit our Catering Page for details.
WHERE WE GOT STARTED:
In an exploration of agriculture and entrepreneurship, Legacy Greens Founder, Jordan Dolson, started a part time market garden in 2014 on her parents dairy farm in Atwood, ON. This market garden continued on until the end of 2018, supplying our store with greens, herbs, tomatoes and ground cherries. Our focus going forward is to concentrate on our store in Downtown Kitchener while partnering with local growers and food entrepreneurs.
